‘Destiny 2’ Season of The Chosen Is Coming soon!
How Will The Story Progress?
We made it! Today is the day, we have finally arrived at the shores of Season 13 and from this moment there is only mere hours until we take our next step into a new Destiny.
Last Thursdays we received a very meaty TWAB of the different gameplay systems that will be changing and evolving over the course of 2021. Whilst some of the changes further angered some aspects of the community, I noticed we received no glimpse of what to expect from the lore of Destiny.

In the Season of The Hunt, which is season 12 many things changed. Four planets form our solar system vanished Mars, IO, Titan and Mercury engulfed by the black hideous darkness after being in a stalemate. During the chaos Xivu Arath, the Hive God of War, made a bold move to seize power. She now threatens our solar system, already in turmoil.
In the midst of that threat, Osiris wounded and unstable from losing his Ghost Sagira now searches the catacombs of the Hive in search of answers. In need of help, a new — and familiar ally known as the Crow (the former Uldren Sov) joins in the efforts to stave the hand of evil.
Into The Deep We Go
Right now we are waiting to see if there will be more progression to the Hive celebrant hunt or if we will progress further into the story. In my previous article (Destiny 2 — What’s Next?) I share thoughts on the Dreaming City being central to the next chapter in the story. Is it possible Darkness Crux become involved and the curse on the city evolve or progress.
Bungie has told us that we can expect Umbral Engrams to return in a refined way, giving us access to better loot pools for gear acquisition. And they have shared their plans for the new public world events. I hope that the new public events will add another layer of that meat and potatoes gameplay I have been missing since Season of The Arrivals.
Very little has been given to go on, and so we find ourselves lore theory crafting or re-watching trailers. And that’s okay, it’s good to imagine and have a respectable amount of anticipation without building too much hype.
So! Let us see what happens next and where this new adventure takes us as we get ready to go on another epic adventure, discovering more about our Destiny’s.
